“Flashes of Beauty: Livia,” is a short, intimate documentary co-produced by Livia Wolfe and Steve Gatlin. It features a collection of black and white, time-lapse photography captured with retro film cameras. In interview format, it explores the life of LGBTQ+ human rights activist, and transgender woman, Livia Wolfe. She’s also a TBI/mental health advocate, fashion week runway model, actress, producer, media/fashion coordinator, speechwriter, photographer, and personal celebrity chef.
For 19 years, Steve Gatlin has been creating photographs of nudes in a public nighttime landscape. The photographs and documentaries encompass, “The Beauty Project.” Everyone involved has volunteered to keep this ongoing project possible, which in-turn helps people to better define how we see beauty.
Each episode provides insight into personal stories, backgrounds, and lives lived… while never shying away from the fact that each of these people are not living with shame for their body. And they are preserving forever, the beauty of everyone! Come witness an evolution in beauty and the deconstruction of stereotypes. How do YOU define beauty?
